Riga Technical University RTU, one of the largest universities in the Baltics has a long history dating back to 1862. It now uses advanced teaching methods, new technologies and an innovative approach to offer exciting studies in Engineering Sciences, Technologies, Natural and Environmental Sciences as well as in Architecture and Engineering Economics. RTU’s strategy is based on two pillars: the strengthening of internationalization and increased collaboration with the business sector. It aims to establish itself as a Centre of Excellence for the use of the latest technologies and scientific achievements and for the exchange and implementation of innovative ideas.

Having participated in several Erasmus+ projects and with more than 200 agreements with foreign universities, industrial enterprises, state and local government organisations, RTU ensures global outreach and also that every student gains practical experience through internships supplemented by research projects run by the Competence and National Research Centres. RTU has dedicated vast efforts within last five years to maximise its international visibility, presence and develop mechanisms that connects a university with the global academic and non-academic partners. Within the last couple of years RTU has put huge efforts and focus on the diversity and inclusion issues by writing and implementing numerous projects under the theme of equality and sustainable development and adapting different inclusion mechanisms.
RTU serves to the following tasks-
- Provide training of key representative on development of online learning platform
- Support VESIM in organizing meetings for learning best practices in Quality education, inclusion and networking.
- RUT will also provide support for training the academicians for online learning
- Prepare an exploitation report of the project key success indicators
- Quality management of the project
- Prepare, host and deliver the training modules for staff and key decision makers in the project
